What we do
WeatherDom provides weather forecasts for Greece and dozens of other countries: current conditions, hourly and 7-day forecasts, and interactive weather maps.
Our aim is a clean, fast and accurate forecast source, useful for everyday plans and professional planning alike.
How our forecasts are made
Our forecasts are built on the WRF numerical weather prediction model (Weather Research and Forecasting), run at high resolution on our own infrastructure. For extended guidance we also use NOAA's global GFS model.
The values (temperature, wind, precipitation, humidity, visibility, UV index and more) are refreshed with every new model run.
Data sources
- WRF model — high-resolution numerical forecasting, produced by us.
- GFS (NOAA) — global model for the extended forecast and the Europe-wide maps.
- GeoNames — geographical database for location names and coordinates.
Accuracy and limitations
No forecast is certain. These are numerical estimates, and uncertainty grows as the forecast horizon extends. For official severe-weather warnings, always consult your national meteorological service.
